Global Competitiveness, Development and Leadership (Global CDL) is a boutique consulting and results-based capacity development firm assisting organizations with applying business principles to address competitiveness, development, and leadership issues in the context of sustainable development, including the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

Our focus is on multi-disciplinary and multi-stakeholder approaches to business and development issues; development innovations and solutions; shared prosperity; collective action; the changing role of business in society; competitiveness and sustainable development at the national and corporate level; the impact of climate change, poverty, compliance, and corruption issues on corporate strategy; social and hybrid entrepreneurship; gender equality and women economic empowerment; disruptive innovations; innovative partnerships and finance; and leadership and leading and managing change.

We also design and conduct executive development programs, stakeholders consultations, and global knowledge exchange in these areas. We work with clients across the globe in Europe, USA, Africa, Asia, LAC, and the MENA. Some clients include, Multilateral Development Banks, such as the World Bank; MNCs for example: Nestle, PepsiCo, L’Oréal, Microsoft, STADA-Hemofarm, Eurasian Resources Group, and Firmenich; International Organizations and Donor Agencies, such as OAS, ILO and GIZ; governments, such as India and the DRC; and Foundations. The work with MNCs includes support for shaping the ESG ecosystem; designing and implementing ESG/DEI/HR/Gen-Z strategies; ESG executives journey; creating new markets for low-income people (BoP); intrapreneurship/entrepreneurship that stimulates innovative R&D and partnerships; and the creation of innovative value chains that involve local SMEs and MSMEs.
